2	Zafisoro	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	A subgroup of another larger tribe called the Antesaka.  They often have tense relations with neighbor tribes over land to grow rice.  It is unknown how many Zafisoro follow Jesus Christ.
3	North Korean	North Korean	Atheism	Many North Koreans came to Madagascar during the Marxist regime of Ratsiraka working in agriculture.  There are no known followers of Jesus Christ.

5	Sahafatra	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	The Sahafatra live in the central part of Madagascar.  Approximately 2% follow Jesus Christ.
6	Ta’izz-Adeni Arab	Yemeni	Sunni Islam	A Muslim people group that migrated to Madagascar in the 16th century, and are responsible for the 1st Malagasy alphabet using Arabic characters.  There are no known followers of Jesus Christ.
7	Saint-Marien	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	Inhabit a small island off the coast of Madagascar.  They are of mixed ancestry from Arabs, Pirates and Malagasy.  They practice a mix of Traditional worship & Christianity; about 6% follow Jesus Christ.
8	Reunionese Creole	Reunionese Creole	Catholic	Migrated to Madagascar (from Reunion) during the abolition of slavery there.  They speak Reunionese Creole and follow Catholic traditions.  Current estimates are that less than 1% follow Jesus Christ.
9	Karimbola	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	The Karimbola live in SW Madagascar, and are a subset of a larger people group called the Tandroy.  Little else is known about the Karimbola.
10	Tanosimboahangy	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	This people group is a subgroup of the larger Tanosy people group living in SE Madagascar.  Less than 1% (of the Tanosy) follow Jesus Christ.
11	Antaivato (Bezanozano)	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	The Bezanozano live along the eastern coastal region in the Mangoro heights.  According to current data, 15% follow Jesus Christ.
12	Kimoso	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	The Kimoso live in the central plateau region.  Little else is known about the Kimoso.  Please pray that we would find out more…

14	Anjatsy	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	The Anjatsy live in the central plateau region of Madagascar.  Less than 1% follow Jesus Christ.
15	Malay	Malay	Folk Islam	Thought to be one of the original groups of settlers here in Madagascar, from SE Asia.  There are non known followers of Jesus Christ.
16	Antetsimatra	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	This small tribe lives in SE Madagascar, there is little information available about the Antetsimatra.
17	French	French	Atheist, Catholic	Until 1960, Madagascar was a French Protectorate.  Many French made their homes here and have stayed after independence.  While many observe Catholic traditions few (less than 1%) follow Jesus Christ.
18	Chinese	Chinese	Buddhism	The Chinese originally came to Madagascar to work on a major railroad, and now form one of the 3 major Chinatowns in all of Africa.  Less than 1% follow Jesus Christ.
19	Antambahoaka	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	There has been some local church planting among this people group.  Currently about 4% follow Jesus Christ.
20	Mikea (Vazimba)	Malagasy	Ancestor Worship (Traditional)	A group of hunter-gatherers located in SW Madagascar.  They are primitive and are one of the poorest peoples in the world.  Less than 1/4th of a percent follow Jesus Christ.
